Welcome Note from the President

To the Bermuda Community,

It is an honor to be President at this time in the history of the Bermuda Marathon Derby!

As President I would like to take the opportunity to welcome participants and spectators alike to the 2015 Derby when, for the first time in 37 years, the Derby will not start in the west and, instead, will start in the east—near the ole town of St. George. Thousands of “east-enders” are expected to line the streets as history-making participants make their way to the finish line via what promises to be a uniquely challenging route. Indeed, all of Bermuda can celebrate what will become a ‘new and exciting tradition’ in the history of the Derby.

In closing, I look forward to seeing you out there—either on the start line or the sideline—and, I thank you in advance for your unwavering support of one of Bermuda’s most prestigious sporting events!

Thank You!

As we know, an event such as the Annual Appleby Half-Marathon Derby would not be possible without the generous support of sponsors. As such, we extend a heartfelt thank you to our title sponsor, Appleby, and to our supporting sponsor, Pure Water. We also extend our gratitude to all the volunteers who came out to help make this event a true success—we could not do it without you! Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank my hardworking and energetic committee—Bermuda is truly blessed by your commitment to making this event a memorable one for all involved.
